Dumont Trip

We were so excited when we recieved our taxes, because it meant a vacation was in store. I have not been away from Casen since he was born and I could not wait to get a break from the kids. I begged my mom Ha ha to pretty please watch the kids. I think that she was scared but she decided that she would. We packed up and decided to go to Dumont to ride the 4 wheelers. I am not that excited about riding 4 wheelers but if it meant a break I was all there. We had fun! There were so many people and lots of noise(even at night). I did not get the sleep that I wanted, but the time away was well worth it. I can not believe the amount of money that some people put into this hobby. There were some bikes that had over 150,000 put into them just so they could go fast up a dirt hill. If I could just get my hands on 2 of those bikes, I could finally own a home. Overall fun little 2 day vacation. On our way home it was snowing up baker grade and even had snowed a lot in the gorge near St. George, you dont see that very often.

Another year has come and gone and now I am 32. I feel young still so this is a plus. I love that I get to have Casens birthday so close to mine (Tomorrow) so that I can feel the birthday spirit. I remember growing up my mom was awesome with our birthdays, making our birthday cakes and throwing birthday bashes. I wish that I could be a kid again, but now I get to have fun with my kids birthday following my moms example. Thanks mom for making our childhood so memorable! I love you!

"Big Brothers Big Sisters"

I just love Big Brothers Big Sisters. I can honestly say that they have saved my life. I feel like a single mom, in that I am always taking care of my kids with no help from brant, because he is always at work in other states besides this one. It is very often that I am home for days at a time. I love that my kids have someone who is able to take them to a fun activity or event. The kids are always excited to see their big, as well as I to have a little break! This is Tracie, Maggies "Big Sister". Tracie grew up in California as an only child, she is going to Dixie State, and is about to graduate with a masters in Technical Writing! I believe that her main goal for volunteering is so that she can get used to having children around her for when she wants to start a family for herself.
This is Dan, Jeron's "Big". Dan is from Colorado City(Coinsidence Huh)! He is one of the most awesome people who I have met. He cares for Jeron so much. So far in their match of one month, he has takin Jeron all over the place. They have gone on an Airplane ride, Laser Mania, Jumping Jacks, Many hikes, and much much more. Dan also took Jeron to the Doctor when I was not able to afford to take him, because of no Medical insurance. Jeron is so Happy that Dan is his big. He has been a real blessing to our Family!

This Is Mack- Damiens "Big" Mack has been in Damiens life for a little over a month now. Mack is a returned missionary. He has been a great example to Damien and has taught him many things so far. They love to play computer games and do science experiments together. Mack is awesome, we are glad that he is damiens life to share happy memories together.
I want to tell everyone out their, If you have some time to spare for a child who you could mentor and be their Friend. Volunteer for Bi Brothers Big Sisters. What great blessing you will get and be able to brighten a child life with yours.
Thanks Dan, Tracie, and Mack- You are all awesome!!!

Somebody loves me!

Jeron stayed home from school today with strep throat. I came in the room to find Casen giving his brother a hug to help him feel better. Nothing better than to brothers showing how much they love each other. Hope you get better buddy!

Going on a jet plane was so fantastic. My mom, Jim and Grandma and Grandpa Harris along with another couple and uncle Rick flew from st george airport to Newport for my cousin Julies wedding. When we got to the Airport in St george to take off the crew at the jet center whom I have known from working at the airport told me that our plane had already landed and that they were just fueling on the other side and should be ready for us to board shortly. That was before Grandma had told me that uncle rick had justleft Las Vegas. I did not put two and two together. We were just suprised that they were already here. When we set out to go to the plane the pilots met us took our baggage, we got into the airplane and were wondering where uncle rick was. Before we new it we had figured out that we were on the wrong plane. To bad because it was headed to the Bahamas. Really fun story but of course it is hard to get all the details they way it all panned out. Reguardless we had a blast and I have figured out that there is no other way to travel. I guess I wont be going Anywhere cause I can not afford it.

Grandpa what a face.

Mom enjoying the flight. A 8 hour trip in only 1 hour by plane. YEE Ha!

Damien at Pine Wood Derby

Happy 10th Birthday Damien

Damien turns 10 today. I love this kid! From the time he was little i would always tickle his legs back and arms to help him fall asleep, I love now that he is older that he will still come up to me and ask me if i can tickle his back right before bed. Damien is so smart and he has a desire to learn about science and history, loves magic and loves to play on the computer and any game system that he has access to. He is in fourth grade this year and finally has a male teacher who is one of the best teachers i know. I am so proud of you son and i am so happy to be your mother. Happy Birthday Bud!

We started out the evening with a fun activity of pumpkin carving. We laid out the newspaper and started to get digging the pupkins seeds out. I realized that after we were done that this was the first year where it was less work then in years past. I actually got to sit and watch while they did most of the work.

Casen Had to be in the very middle of the action. He stood on the table right in the middle and i think he got the messiest.

The 2nd grade class all week studied dinosaurs and they were excited that they could go see the big dinosuar track that were discovered right near there school. I packed up Casen and Maggie and headed out to meet there class. We learned alot about the three different dinosaurs that were found here. There is also the biggest piece of sandstone with tracks on it in the united states, which is pictured below. We had so much fun. Thanks dinosaur Museum!
